Davis has developed passion around the sustainable and well-governed natural resources in Africa. He believes that mineral resources can be exploited in a healthy, gender & ethnically inclusive, environmentally friendly and socially responsible way. He has extensively advocated for the preservation of the rights of affected communities as well as the effective translation of resource rents into productive capacities. He is particularly making an effort in popularizing a focus on understanding the cumulative impacts of natural resource development.
Over the years he has served in various capacities in various organizations such as Oxfam International as a researcher and a sectoral strategist. Davis has also widely conducted research for various organizations such as the UN, The World Bank, ActionAid, Transparency International and the Institute of Economic Affairs. He holds an MSc in Communication (Development) and has attended specialized postgraduate courses on various topics.
